I wish you could have heard the noises coming out of the women apprentices' mouths as they touched these lotion bars for the first time.
Decadent! Soft and smooth! Luxurious!
{But don't tell anyone how easy they are to make.}
Try to give them as gifts, but good luck.... you're going to want to keep them for yourselves.
Just like the popcorn seasoning last week, this week's recipe is as straight-forward as placing 4 ingredients in the top pot of a double boiler.
And these Herbal Lotion Bars are entirely customizable.
Keep them simple with the basic ingredients or make them fancy by infusingthe coconut oil with rose, lavender, calendula or chamomile. Add essential oils {still optional} for extra plant-benefits and scent.

HERBAL LOTION BARS
If infusing coconut oil with herbs, put rose, lavender, etc., in the top of a double boiler with coconut oil and let gently infuse for an hour, checking the water in the bottom pot every 15 minutes. Strain the petals out and keep the melted, infused oil. If not using rose or other herbs, melt the coconut oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax. Once melted, add the peppermint oil or other essential oils and vitamin E oil {optional}. Pour into molds or into baking cups in a muffin pan. Let cool. You can stick in refrigerator or freezer to harden more quickly. To use, rub between hands to soften and then rub onto body! Store in a cool space.

Make them for others and keep some for yourself. Make once, and keep your skin silky smooth, hydrated, and smelling good.
Luxury can be simple.
